Will sing for visa? Allen in limbo
Earlier this year, British pop star Lily Allen cut short a U.S. tour, saying she wanted to get back to the studio and that she was "bored slightly." Well, this time immigration officials are trying to make things more interesting for her.
The "Smile" singer's U.S. work visa was revoked after she arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday.
Lily Allen, due to tour the States in September, had flown in for the MTV Video Music Awards launch.
She was held at the airport for five hours in connection with an arrest for an alleged assault on a photographer in London in March.
A rep for MTV said she will be at the awards.
Lily Allen's spokesman reassured fans she's still in America and will figure everything out. And that she was not strip-searched. In a statement, Lily Allen said: "I am trying everything I can to sort this out."
