Lily Allen backs campaign for youths
Lily Allen is backing a campaign for the Government to invest more in activities for young people.
The singer joined charity 4 Children to launch a new report showing youths feel neglected and bored and call for the Prime Minister to take action.
Lily Allen declared: “If Gordon Brown invested at least £300m for these new youth reforms it cannot be a bad thing. It will make people feel safer.”
Make Space Review, the group that put together the report, found setting up more youth centres would help fight anti-social behaviour and crime.
Former Labour MP Oona King, also a supporter of the campaign, explained: “The overwhelming majority of young people wanted more things to do, in contrast to studies which have found that some parents were over-scheduling their children with activities."
